I’M NOW OFFICIALLY HEACHAM POSTMISTRESS!!!

Although I have been running the Post Office I have today taken over ownership of the business and my dad has fully retired.

Wishing my Pops a long and happy retirement. He’s taught me everything I know.

My plan is to keep providing an excellent service to our village and surrounding communities for long into the future, so please please keep using us.

Heacham Post Office has been owned and run by the Faulkner family since 1964 when they purchased the post office.

Sally's Mum Vivien, was already working in there before this. Sally's dad Lindsay moved to Heacham later in 1964 when the post office the family owned in Hindleveston was sold after running it from 1944.

Lindsay joined the business and met Vivian and they married in 1965.

Sally joined the business in June 2000. First part time when her children were small.

Sally has been managing the business for around 10 years since Lindsay semi-retired.

Sally is now in the process of becoming sub post mistress.

The building has always been a Post Office since it was built in 1911.

Hilda and Bob Faulkner (Sally's grandparents) had their first post office and general store in Hindlevesten from 1944 until 1964. Outside the store is Lindsay's car which by coincidence had Vivien's initials on the number plate.
